Ergo Proxy - Anime

Ergo Proxy is a currently showing Anime in Japan dealing with a clash between the few remaining humans and super powerful beings called Proxys.

In a world desolate from pollution and other man-induced disasters the few remaining humans live in colonies inside carefully protected environments. They are aided by Autoraves (robots) and basically govern the world around them. In this enclosed capsule living the detective Re-l Mayer in called in to investigate a disturbance that is causing Autoraves to gain individuality. During the investigation a close encounter with a Proxy causes her world to suddenly shatter and throws all her certainties away leaving her with a fear of the unknown and a need to understand the real world.

The graphics and ambience is similar to Karas both in style and in depth of imagery and sound which creates a wonderful fast flowing Anime, from which the overall picture of the world appears out the mist bit by bit...
