Paranoia Agent - Anime

Paranoia Agent is wonderfully colourful and visually light anime from Geneon dealing with one of the most dark and disturbing emotions - Paranoia.

The tale revolves around a supposed "hit and run" aggressor in a normal everyday world, but soon delves into a fantastic and surreal ambient as the viewer, along with the story, starts to enter the world of paranoia in an attempt to solve the mystery.

The episodes have light and funny moments but one is constantly reminded of the darkness surrounding the story, often by visual imagery giving it shape and form.

One of the best anime currently around dealing with the insecurity of modern times and of the darkness which it produces inside the heart.
